On Monday, May 26th, around 10 p.m., the goalkeeper of the St. Jérôme-Lucchesi stadium in Marseille (northern districts) and his 21-year-old son were injured by eight players from a soccer team. Their fault? The guard was supposed to be closing the stadium. His son and colleagues testify: these attacks are commonplace and must stop. Khalil's father is wearing a neck brace and his arm is in a sling. He is suffering from a head injury.

It was the noise coming from the field that alerted Khalil, from his window. “ I saw my father being attacked by several people, there were at least 8 of them. I was scared, but my first instinct was to try to defend my father, he was trying to defend me… We were put on the ground and beaten. When we were on the ground and we were being beaten, that was just survival instinct. We were just trying to survive, me and my father.

There is a fear that has gradually taken hold in his father and in him, explains Khalil, that of closing the stadium every evening : “ We are left to our own devices. We don’t say it, but two weeks ago the same thing happened, but it didn’t come to blows because we knew how to manage it.
